Background

In 2019 Hackney Council had the idea to start their own, not for profit energy company. To source energy for residents of Hackney, at an affordable, reliable price. It was something that had been done before, many years ago in Hackney and Hoxton.

To start with, the service would only be available to Hackney residents, and dependent on it’s sucess this could be rolled out at a later date.
