Hornchurch is one of eight town centres located in the London Borough of Havering. The town has a unique history and character and boasts a number of historic buildings including the Queens Theatre Langton’s House and the RAF Hornchurch heritage centre. With its numerous historical buildings, it is one of the borough cultural destinations.

Creative Brief

Hackney design was commissioned to work with the Town Centre Partnership to develop a town centre place brand. Working with local business owners, we partnered with a social media agency to develop the brand and train business owners to use social media channels to drive footfall and sales. Keeping in theme to the town’s historic nature, we created an illustration based brand which highlighted its historical and cultural past.
