Ways to use images
Using images in a printed booklet, leaflet or banner can help bring your work to life!
We can only use High Resolution images - that’s 300ppi or above. The bigger the item you’re printing - the bigger the file size of image we’ll need.
Online
The internet loves images! Images of events, people or places engage people more!
We have more flexibility here - images of most sizes can be used online - 72ppi and upwards. That means those taken with your phone can be used online.
Imagery and the law
All campaign imagery should have the correct consent form signed. This is the responsibility of the commissioning officer or service. For advice and guidance please contact the communications team or the Design team for advice.
Our images can under no circumstances be given to suppliers or partners for marketing purposes, unless agreed with the photographer, communications or the design team.
Image Resolution
Pixelated or blurry photos are definitely big letdowns when you see your finished design.

How to find an images resolution
PC
Select the file you want to use. Right-click on the image and then select "Properties."
Go to the "Details" tab to see the image's dimensions and resolution.
MAC
Select the image you want to use and "Right-click" on it. Click on "Get Info"
You can find the image dimension and resolution under the "More Info" tab.
